Terrorists in Sydney killed a native of Uzhhorod during Hanukkah celebrations.
According to ТСН: The Jewish community Chabad of Uzhhorod confirmed the death of Tibor Vicen, a native of Uzhhorod, who became a victim of terrorists in Sydney during Hanukkah celebrations.
The man was killed while lighting the first Hanukkah candle.
“With deep sorrow and great pain we received the tragic news about the murder of Mr. Tibor Vicen, a native of the city of Ungvar, who was killed while lighting the first Hanukkah candle in Australia,” the Chabad of Uzhhorod reported.
Tibor was actively involved in the life of the Chabad community in Sydney and was close to it.
Additional Losses
This is already the second case of a native of Ukraine's death related to this attack during Hanukkah celebrations in Sydney.
It was previously reported that during the same attack, a Ukrainian immigrant Alex Kleitman was also killed. According to his wife, the man tried to protect her during the shooting.
Overall in Australia, after the terrorist attack, the number of dead has risen to 15 people.
This tragedy highlights the horrific consequences of terrorism and its impact on the lives of individuals and communities. The death of Tibor Vicen and Alex Kleitman underscores the need for measures to ensure safety during public celebrations and to reduce the risks of violence in the future.
