According to TSN.ua: A Russian strike on March 24, 2023, in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk claimed two lives, including a National Guardsman and his minor daughter. The serviceman had recently become a father—his child was born in a maternity hospital that was also damaged during the assault. Four other individuals sustained injuries, among them a six-year-old child.
Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv confirmed the casualties.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack, two people were killed,” he stated.In his remarks, Martsinkiv added that “a National Guardsman and his daughter died.” The tragedy has sparked widespread public grief, as the guardsman had only recently welcomed his child.
