Russians destroyed critical infrastructure in Odesa: 120 thousand people without electricity

According to ТСН: Russian terrorists continue to deliberately destroy key infrastructure in the Odesa region. Last night, the enemy attacked an energy facility in the Persiysky district of the city twice and also struck port logistics. As a result, more than 120 thousand subscribers were left without electricity, heating, and the ability to cook.

Two strikes: people left homeless

Residents of the Persiysky district experienced true hell. The first explosion occurred around two o'clock in the morning, and the second at half past three. The shock wave damaged the windows of the high-rise buildings, which had already endured previous shelling.

Odesita Liliia Semenivna can barely hold back her tears as she shows her apartment:

‘It feels like they hit right at me. Last time, three windows were blown out, and this time everything was blown out, even the metal-plastic. The partition cracked, the walls sagged – the apartment is almost destroyed.’

Energy collapse: without heat and communication

Since many apartments in the area do not have gas heating, people were completely dependent on electricity. Now it is not only dark in the apartments but also cold. There are no 'points of invincibility' in the epicenter, forcing residents to walk kilometers just to charge their phones.

‘I have to leave because I can't cook or wash myself. The windows and doors have been blown out. To charge, I have to go to the Kotovsky settlement or to large stores, where people stand in line for four hours,’ local resident Natalia recounts.

Another woman we met on the way to Luzanivka adds: ‘I’m going to the supermarket to charge power banks. There is no gas, there is no electricity – we warmed up with electricity, now we are sitting in the cold.’

Strike on the port and attack with guided bombs

Besides energy facilities, the enemy again tried to disrupt maritime cargo. In the city of 'Pivdenny,' a large fire broke out during the shelling: about 30 containers with flour and vegetable oil caught fire.

Throughout the day, the Russians attempted to attack the region with guided bombs, targeting bridges to cut off part of the region. Fortunately, the Defense Forces managed to repel this attack.

Currently, over 120 thousand subscribers remain without electricity. Emergency teams are working in an enhanced mode, but the scale of the destruction is significant. There are 48 'Points of Invincibility' functioning in the region, but the need for them is only increasing.

The city of the Odesa region is facing serious challenges due to constant attacks. People have not only lost their homes and conveniences but also find themselves in critical conditions without electricity and heating. Authorities are trying to provide the population with necessary support, but the situation remains tense.
