Poland Warned Ukraine About Dangerous Chinese Cups: What to Do.

According to ТСН: In Poland, Chinese glass cups have been found that may pose a health risk. This information has been reported to the State Food Service of Ukraine.

Data about the dangerous cups was received through the RASFF system (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) from Polish competent authorities.

These cups, made in China, are decorated with flowers, mushrooms, and leaves. They have been recorded to exceed the permissible limits for lead and cadmium migration, which poses a serious threat to human health.

Recommendations for Ukrainians

The State Food Service urges Ukrainians:

• not to buy these cups;

• to stop using them if you already have them;

• to immediately report territorial branches of the State Food Service about the detection of these products in stores.

The service continues to coordinate actions with RASFF member countries and takes necessary control measures to completely withdraw the dangerous products from circulation.

It is worth noting that the State Food Service has already identified over 24 thousand units of children's products in Ukraine that do not meet technical requirements, among which 28 types are dangerous toys.

This is yet another case highlighting the importance of overseeing the safety of imported goods. In the context of globalization, Ukrainian consumers must be especially cautious and pay attention to the quality of the products they purchase. The State Food Service, for its part, will continue to work on ensuring the safety of food products and goods for children, as the health of citizens should always come first.
