In Irpin, a woman stabbed her husband: details of domestic murder.
According to ТСН: In the city of Irpin, located in Kyiv region, a woman stabbed her husband in the chest, resulting in his death.
According to the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office, a 54-year-old local resident has been detained on suspicion of murdering her husband (part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The incident occurred in the couple's apartment during a domestic conflict, accompanied by insults and aggression.
Circumstances of the tragedy
The suspect said that the quarrel arose over her husband's allegedly pro-Russian views and his connections with relatives in the aggressor country. According to her, the husband had repeatedly threatened to kick her out of the house and resorted to physical violence, including twisting her arms.
The conflict escalated while preparing food when the woman was chopping cabbage. During an emotional conversation, she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the chest. The 70-year-old victim died from the injury before the doctors arrived, whom the suspect herself called.
Legal consequences
After the arrest, the woman was handed a notice of suspicion in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. In court, upon the prosecutor's request, a decision was made to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The situation in Irpin has become another testimony to the problems arising in family relationships under conditions of emotional tension. Such cases require the attention of society and appropriate measures to prevent domestic violence. There is an ongoing discussion in Ukraine about issues of family violence and the role of the state in supporting victims.
