On September 22, in the city of Odessa, there was an attempt to dismantle the bas-relief of the Lenin order and the "Golden Star" medal on April 10 square. Public figure Dmytro Hanul and head of the NGO "Green Leaf" Vladyslav Balinsky were stopped by the police, who issued them an admin protocol for minor hooliganism. Hanul and Balinsky reported this on the social network Facebook.

Activists demand that the local authorities complete the dismantling of Soviet symbols on April 10 square in Odessa, considering that these structures pose a danger to citizens.

It is worth noting that the monument to Russian poet Alexander Pushkin will also be demolished, although earlier the mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, emphasized that this could not be done due to its inclusion in the UNESCO register as part of cultural heritage.
