Russian drone Geran hit a residential building in Odesa: why did the explosive not go off.
Incident with the Russian drone in Odesa
According to ТСН: A Russian-made drone struck a residential complex on Valeriy Samofalov Street (formerly Kamanina) in Odesa. Despite the drone sustaining damage, there was no explosion.
According to local Telegram channels, the drone crashed into the building of the residential complex "44 pearla". Eyewitnesses emphasize that it was a Russian UAV "Geran".
Videos from social media show drone debris lying on a balcony, on the roof of a neighboring building, and scattered in the yard. However, the drone did not explode.
It should be noted that the Odesa region has again become a target for Russian drones. The nighttime attack on December 16 resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure, including serious fires at the enterprise and the complete burning of warehouses with household heating equipment.
This incident indicates the escalation of the situation in the region and the risks posed by the use of unmanned aviation in the conflict. The Odesa region continues to suffer attacks that threaten both civilian residents and strategic facilities. We will monitor the security developments in the region.
