A public hub will be created in Odesa: what is known.
A public hub for organizations will open in Odesa
A hub is planned to be opened in the city of Odesa, where public organizations will have the opportunity to hold meetings and jointly implement projects to improve the lives of local residents and internally displaced persons. This was announced by Hennadiy Trukhanov, the mayor of Odesa, at an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee on January 16, 2025, as reported by "Suspilne".
The city received almost $150,000 in grant funding from UNDP to implement this project. The completion date is scheduled for March 15, 2025.
"Given the deadlines for budget procedures, there is not enough time... Therefore, we are holding an extraordinary executive committee meeting, which is essentially the beginning of the creation of the Odesa public hub, which will be a place of equal opportunities and barriers in every sense of the word," noted Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Today, during the executive committee meeting, it was decided to transfer project documentation for a two-story building located at 83/85 Uspenska Street to the Odesa Youth Center. 11 members of the executive committee who were present at the meeting voted for this.
According to the draft decision, the control over the implementation of the decision will be entrusted to the first deputy mayor Oleksandr Filatov. The customer for the construction works will be the KP "Odesa Youth Center".
