A wounded roe deer died in Kyiv region due to shelling: details.
Tragic death of the roe deer in the Kyiv shelter
According to ТСН: In Kyiv region, during a massive Russian shelling, a roe deer died in a wildlife shelter, which had recently undergone a complicated amputation. This animal arrived at the shelter after a car accident in Brovary, where veterinarians had to amputate its severely damaged limb.
Center employees noted that the roe deer had not fully recovered from the surgery, but had previously survived the shelling and was hopeful for full rehabilitation.
“But she could not withstand today’s terrible night, filled with the cannonade of explosions and horror, and her little heart stopped,” the center reported.
The rescuers' message states that the staff had high hopes for the animal’s adaptation after losing its limb. According to volunteers, the roe deer could have lived in the shelter, but the strike on the region proved fatal.
“It is unspeakably painful to lose an animal that we tried to save with all our might, but which we could not protect,” the center noted.
Unfortunately, the tragic death of the roe deer is another confirmation of the devastating consequences of war for all living beings. This story emphasizes not only the struggle for the survival of wild animals in conflict conditions but also the deep connection between humans and animals, filled with love and compassion. Restoration of the shelter and ensuring conditions for other inhabitants while the fight for peace in the region continues would be a success.
