New Year frosts down to -14: When will Arctic air arrive in Ukraine.

According to ТСН: Forecaster Natalka Didenko warned Ukrainians that during the New Year period, the country will face Arctic cold. The temperature may drop to -14 degrees, with periodic snowfall.

Didenko noted that a new Arctic air mass is moving towards Ukraine, which will cause frosty weather.

Temperature Forecast

On December 31 and January 1, the frosts will become more intense. At night, the temperature will drop to -7 to -14 degrees, while during the day it will fluctuate between -2 to -7 degrees.

“With periodic snow and intensified snowfall,”

Warming After the Holidays

From January 3, warming is expected in Ukraine.

It was previously noted by forecaster Igor Kibalchich that the true winter is coming, explaining this by the influence of a cyclone over Eastern Europe. This will lead to daily snowfalls and stable frosts. The New Year will be the coldest night, and during the first days of January, snowy weather with blizzards will remain over most of the territory. However, in the south and in Transcarpathia, short-term thaws up to +2 degrees are possible during the day.

Thus, it is worth preparing for a cold New Year's night and being cautious on the roads due to possible snowfalls. However, after the holidays, Ukrainians will be able to enjoy the warming that will bring some relief from the frosts.
