According to ТСН: As a result of enemy shelling in Kyiv, transport facilities and rolling stock were damaged. 30 workers from the road maintenance departments and 10 units of special equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences.

This is reported by the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Shelled and its consequences

The shock wave damaged a bus, shattering the windows. There was also a hit on the territory of one of the depots, where 20 tram cars were damaged — both windows and body elements were affected. One of the cars sustained significant damage.

In addition, the contact network of KP "Kyivpastrans" was damaged, leading to temporary blockage of tram traffic in some sections.

Due to the difficult situation in the energy system, the movement of electric transport has also been suspended in certain areas of the city. Partial transport communication has been restored with buses. Operational information about changes in movement and delays on trolleybus and tram routes is reported by the Telegram channel of KP "Kyivpastrans".

Problems with lighting and subway

The external lighting networks in various districts of the city were damaged, and services are already working on-site. Due to voltage drops in the electrical network, there were temporary disruptions in the operation of equipment at some subway facilities, including lighting and escalators. Currently, operations have stabilized, trains continue to run, but changes in schedules on certain lines are possible.

Experts from KP "Traffic Management Center" reported that no traffic light damage was found. However, 135 traffic lights are currently not functioning due to lack of power supply, while 262 facilities operate on backup power.

Drivers are urged to be attentive and careful at intersections and pedestrian crossings where traffic lights are not working; it is necessary to adhere to traffic signs and give way to pedestrians.

Situation in the city

City services continue to clean up the aftermath of the shelling. During the attack, Kyiv suffered a massive blow, resulting in damaged residential buildings. Currently, 32 injured people are known, some receiving assistance in hospitals, and there are also fatalities.

The Russian attack plunged Kyiv into cold and darkness.

The city is experiencing interruptions with heating, water supply, and electricity. Currently, more than 2,600 residential buildings, nearly 200 kindergartens, and more than 100 schools have been left without centralized heating.

This situation highlights the difficulties faced by the residents of Kyiv amidst armed aggression. City services are making every effort to restore normal life and provide comfortable conditions for residents. It is necessary to stay informed and follow the recommendations of experts in this challenging situation.
