According to TSN.ua: Explosions were reported in the Khmelnytskyi region on March 28, 2023, as an air raid alert was activated across Ukraine. The warning came amid fears of missile strikes by Russian forces. At the time, three MiG-31K aircraft were airborne, having departed from the Savasleyka airbase.

Russia had last deployed its hypersonic 'Kinzhal' missiles in February 2023. During the night of March 28, Russian troops also targeted the city of Odesa. According to reports, the number of victims from that attack has increased to 16 wounded and 2 dead. Among the injured, 14 individuals are receiving medical treatment, with two in critical condition.
