A Volkswagen was stopped in Lviv region: the driver faces a fine of up to 34 thousand.
According to ТСН: The Lviv region witnessed an incident where inspectors stopped a Volkswagen that was transporting people without the appropriate license. The driver was issued a protocol for illegal passenger transportation.
In such cases, fines can range from 17 to 34 thousand hryvnias, as reported by the State Supervision Office on Telegram.
“Illegal carriers” do not pay taxes, hire unprofessional drivers, and do not guarantee quality services. You can check the license by the car number or VIN online,” the State Supervision Office noted.
Also, a draft law №11025 aimed at strengthening liability for such transport cases has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
Changes in technical control
Moreover, there have been changes in Ukraine regarding the requirements for mandatory technical control of vehicles, bringing our country closer to EU standards. Now, technical inspection will be mandatory not only for passenger commercial vehicles but also for trailers, trucks, and buses.
The importance of these innovations lies in ensuring road safety and improving the level of passenger services. Legislative changes promote better control over carriers' activities and correspond to modern European legislative requirements.
