The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, wants to meet with Donald Trump earlier than the planned negotiations of the American leader with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Bloomberg citing sources.
The main topic of the planned meeting between Zelensky and Trump may be an agreement on rare earth metals.
The publication notes that such an agreement, which will be carried out on the basis of security guarantees, could become part of Trump's strategy to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
'We need strong agreements with the United States - agreements that will really bring results,' Bloomberg quotes Zelensky as saying.
The President of Ukraine believes that the ideal option would be to sign an agreement on minerals with the participation of both presidents.
Zelensky is also planning to hold a meeting with Trump before meeting with Putin during a meeting with a Kellogg representative on February 20.
