Cat from Bavaria traveled 80 km in a postal box: police intervened.
According to ТСН: In Nerzingen, near Ulm, a funny but dangerous situation occurred. A resident of Bavaria accidentally sent her cat along with a package: the animal quietly crawled into the box, comfortably settled inside, and fell asleep. The owner didn't notice anything, sealed the box, and left it in a postal machine.
The box arrived at a local bakery that works with a courier service. It was there that a worker heard a faint meowing from the hermetically sealed package. She immediately recognized the sender's address and notified the cat's owner. Since postal shipments are protected by the correspondence secrecy law, it was necessary to call the police.
The law enforcement officers opened the box and found a frightened but unharmed cat inside. The owner quickly arrived and took her pet. Thanks to the attentiveness of the bakery worker, this story had a happy ending.
The police noted that this incident is considered unfortunate, and no investigation into animal cruelty will be conducted.
It is worth remembering that earlier volunteers freed a dog that had been trapped on the fifth floor of a building destroyed after a 'hit' for a month.
This incident demonstrates how important it is to be careful with pets, as even a small oversight can lead to unusual situations. Experts also note that attempting to send an animal in a package can be dangerous, and it's best to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for beloved pets.
