According to ТСН: January 13, 2026 – Tuesday. 1419th day of war in Ukraine.
What holiday is tomorrow
Tomorrow, January 13, believers celebrate Day of Remembrance of Saints Ermylat and Stratonik. Ermylat, who was a deacon, openly professed the Christian faith. For this, he was arrested, brutally tortured, and imprisoned. Stratonik, a prison guard and friend of Ermylat, worried for his friend's suffering, and realizing the unwavering faith of his friend, also believed in Christ. Both martyrs were tortured and executed for refusing to renounce their faith, according to church tradition, they were drowned in a river.
Also on January 13, Ukraine and the world celebrate Day of Public Broadcasting. This holiday emphasizes the importance of independence, credibility, pluralism of opinions, and accessibility of information. Public radio aims to inform, enlighten, and unite people, giving a voice to various social groups and supporting culture, language, and democratic processes.
Moreover, January 13 is celebrated as Poetry at Work Day. On this day, colleagues are invited to read poems – both their favorites and their own, exchange poetic lines in chats, at meetings, or during breaks. The idea of the holiday is that poetry helps reduce tension, inspires, fosters creativity, and improves the atmosphere in the team. This day reminds us that even in the most structured environment, there is room for emotions and words that inspire. It is an opportunity to momentarily step outside deadlines and reports, to feel the living power of language.
January 13 is also Dream Realization Day. It reminds us that a dream is not just a fantasy, but a direction that starts with an inner desire to achieve more and the courage to act. On this day, it is customary to formulate wishes, visualize goals, recall old dreams, and take at least one concrete step towards their realization.
Tomorrow several significant events will be celebrated, highlighting the importance of faith, culture, and the realization of dreams. The Day of Remembrance of Saints reminds us of the strength of loyalty, while the Day of Public Broadcasting emphasizes the need for objective information. At the same time, Poetry at Work Day and Dream Realization Day call for creativity and self-realization, which is especially important in today's challenging times.
