Hungarian archaeologists found the burial of three warrior relatives: results of DNA analysis.
According to ТСН: In Hungary, archaeologists discovered the burial of elite warriors who lived about 1100 years ago. Their DNA analysis showed that these people were related.
During the excavations, not only the remains of warriors were found, but also weapons and dozens of coins. One of the warriors turned out to be a teenager, and the other was likely his father or brother. Scientists found that all three warriors came from the same family through the paternal line.
Details of the burials
One of the warriors died at the age of 17-18 and wore a belt adorned with gilded silver. The other, who was buried at the age of 15-16, had a quiver with seven arrows and a bow.
The third warrior died at the age of 30-35. A sabre, arrow shooting equipment, horse harness, a silver bracelet, and a belt adorned with coins were buried with him. DNA analysis suggests that this man could have been the father or brother of the youngest warrior.
No less interesting discoveries were made by archaeologists in the ancient city of Ephesus, located in modern-day Turkey. They found a number of artifacts that provide new insights into the lives of wealthy residents of the Roman era and the historical context of one of the main centers of early Christianity.
These findings allow for a better understanding of the social structure and cultural characteristics of the time. They also open up new opportunities for exploring the connections between different peoples and cultures of that era, which can truly change our perception of history. Although the burial in Hungary and the findings in Ephesus pertain to different regions, both discoveries are significant for understanding the complex history of our civilization.
