Departure of Archbishop Isaac Vorzel
According to TSN.ua: Archbishop Isaac Vorzel left Ukraine after a scandal involving an underground school at the UOC-MP monastery in Kyiv. Scandal with the underground school
The scandal that prompted the archbishop's departure is related to the activities of an illegal school operating within the UOC-MP 'Holosiivska Pustyn' monastery in Kyiv. The Security Service of Ukraine has initiated an investigation into possible unlawful activities in this area. Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi instructed to verify the alleged facts.
In light of these events, Metropolitan Clement noted that
'journalists, according to him, already know more than he does'- this underscores the significance of the situation surrounding Archbishop Isaac and the underground school, which continues to evoke public interest and discussion.
This incident highlights the importance of monitoring educational institutions in Ukraine, especially in the context of increasing scrutiny of the activities of religious organizations. The inspection initiated by the Ministry of Education could have far-reaching consequences for the UOC-MP and its educational programs. The situation remains in the public spotlight and may influence the state's further actions regarding religious organizations operating in the country.
