Drone Attack in Cherkasy Region Claims Four Lives

According to TSN.ua: A Russian drone attack on the Cherkasy region has left four people dead. The tragedy occurred in the Zolotonosha district while an air raid warning was in effect, as enemy drones launched a mass assault on Ukrainian territory. According to Ihor Tabunets,

“We have four fatalities in the Zolotonosha district. This happened in an open area during the air raid alert”
.

Massive Russian Military Assault

On April 1, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack using hundreds of strike drones, resulting in impacts across multiple cities, including:

  • Lutsk
  • Khmelnytskyi
  • Zhytomyr
  • Poltava region
  • Sumy region
  • Kharkiv region
  • Kherson region

Air defense units managed to destroy most of the incoming drones, but some still reached their targets.

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances at the scene.

“All details are now being clarified by law enforcement. Investigative actions are ongoing”
, Tabunets stated. He also urged the public to stay cautious:
“The enemy attack is ongoing. I consistently call on everyone to heed danger warnings”
.

In addition to the casualties, the attack caused significant material damage. 'Drone debris fell on a Nova Poshta terminal and food warehouses, triggering large-scale fires,' reported Roman Romaniuk. The situation remains tense, with local emergency services working to manage the aftermath. Tabunets warned: 'Do not approach downed targets—the warhead could detonate at any moment.'

This tragedy underscores the growing threat from Russian drones, which continue to strike Ukrainian territories despite air defense efforts. Given the scale of the assaults, it is critical for the public to remain vigilant and respond to safety alerts. Authorities are actively working to mitigate the consequences of the attacks and ensure civilian protection.
