Kyiv region remains without electricity: why roadblocks won't help

According to ТСН: Residents of the Kyiv region have been urged to refrain from blocking roads due to prolonged power outages, as such actions will not speed up the work of energy services. Specialists are working without weekends in difficult weather conditions to restore electricity supply to all settlements as quickly as possible, including remote communities.

"Blocking roads and obstructing traffic will not speed up the restoration of power. Our energy workers are working tirelessly in difficult freezing conditions to connect all homes, every household in the most remote corner of the region," emphasized the head of the department, Mykola Kalashnik.

Residents are urged to understand

The situation is complicated by massive enemy attacks on energy infrastructure coinciding with severe frosts and bad weather. This week, a significant number of emergency outages have been recorded, and their elimination is ongoing around the clock.

Kalashnik, who lives in the Left Bank, understands the outrage of the people. Emergency shutdowns also affect the capital, particularly the Left Bank of Kyiv, where many apartments have been left without electricity and heating.

"There have been many emergency outages this week due to massive enemy attacks, which are brazenly taking advantage of the circumstances, considering the severe weather, and work on them is ongoing around the clock. At this time, it is especially important to remain calm and stick together," he noted.

Officials report that all residents' requests are being monitored, and no community will be left alone with the problem. By the end of the day, electricity supply is expected to be restored in all settlements of the region, although isolated local outages may occur.

Currently, electricity has been restored to about 5 thousand families, while about 25 thousand subscribers remain without electricity. Restoration work continues.

Residents of the region are urged to remain calm, support one another, and act in harmony, as only together can the consequences of attacks and bad weather be overcome.

Moreover, energy workers have managed to restore electricity supply for more than 370 thousand families, although weather conditions continue to significantly complicate the situation.

"Around the clock, 187 brigades of energy workers are working on restoring electricity supply in the region, eliminating damage. Currently, nearly 30 thousand families in settlements of the region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the Obukhiv, Fastiv, and Bucha districts," stated Kalashnik.

The current situation with electricity supply in the Kyiv region continues to be complicated due to a combination of weather conditions and ongoing attacks on infrastructure. It is important to maintain understanding and support each other in such difficult times, as coordinated actions can help overcome these challenges more quickly.
