Call to Scale Up the 'eOselia' Initiative

According to TSN.ua: Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, has called for the expansion of the 'eOselia' housing program. In a post on his Telegram channel, he noted that the initiative has already provided homes to over 24,000 families during the war, but stressed this falls short of what is needed to address the housing crisis, particularly for internally displaced persons. The program, launched by the Ukrainian government, offers affordable mortgages to citizens.

Budanov underscored the program's strategic importance, stating:

“Scaling up 'eOselia' is not just about putting a roof over the heads of hundreds of thousands of people—it is a direct path to reviving our economy.”

He further emphasized that

“people will not return to a country with 'nothing to come back to.' That is why housing today is a matter of national survival.”

Budanov also called for the government to focus resources on proven initiatives: “The state cannot afford to spread its resources thin across dozens of small programs—we must concentrate efforts where results are visible.” These remarks highlight the urgent need to expand 'eOselia' during wartime and ensure its continued development.

Why 'eOselia' Matters

The 'eOselia' program serves as a critical lifeline for Ukrainians who have lost their homes due to the conflict. The push for its expansion reflects the growing demand for housing among internally displaced people and other vulnerable groups. A successful rollout of this initiative could mark a significant step toward national recovery and social-economic stabilization.
