According to TSN.ua: Kyiv police have concluded their investigation into a 42-year-old man who carried out a stabbing in the Podil district, leaving him facing up to eight years of imprisonment. The violent incident, which occurred in October of last year, stemmed from a conflict rooted in jealousy. This case highlights the severe legal consequences for violent assaults in Ukraine, which are prosecuted under strict criminal statutes.
The assailant attacked his 37-year-old victim—a former wife's cohabitant—with a kitchen knife, inflicting grievous bodily harm. According to law enforcement, the suspect has been formally charged with intentional infliction of serious bodily injury under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court will now determine the defendant's fate.

In a separate incident, the detained individual also threatened employees at two currency exchange points with what was later discovered to be a toy pistol. This case has also been forwarded to the court for further proceedings.
