When to Expect Warming: Forecasters Postpone the Date of Thawing.
According to ТСН: Due to unusual weather conditions and the consequences of shelling by Russia, Ukrainians are closely monitoring weather forecasts. However, the forecasts are constantly changing: the expected decrease in frosts is postponed — first to January 15, and then to the 17th.
Weather in Ukraine
This was reported by forecaster Nathalia Didenko.
«Just yesterday, the forecast included several waves of thaw, but today I check and what do I see? Below is the forecast diagram for Kyiv, and it is clearly visible that in the near future, there seems to be no sign of a thaw! At night, the temperature remains between -14...-17 degrees, during the day around -10 degrees,» she noted.
According to Didenko, on January 14, frosty weather will persist across Ukraine. At night, the temperature is expected to be between -10...-15 degrees, and in the north — up to -20. During the day, thermometers will show -9...-14, in the west — -7...-12, and in the south — -2...-6 degrees. Icy conditions may form on roads, and there could be light snow in some areas, although significant precipitation is not expected.
Weather in Kyiv
In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will drop to -13...-15 degrees, during the day it is expected to be around -10. No precipitation is anticipated, but due to the frost and moisture, surfaces will remain slippery.
We remind you that abnormal cold and snowfalls have covered Ukraine, and experts predict that the cold weather will last at least a week.
The current weather situation has a serious impact on the daily lives of Ukrainians. In such conditions, it is important to prioritize personal safety, especially on the roads where slippery surfaces can lead to accidents. Forecasters are urging everyone to be cautious and to keep an eye on further forecasts.
