Mother fined 850 hryvnias for snowball and pushing incident involving her son at school.
According to ТСН: An incident occurred in Horodok, Lviv region, where a minor student pushed his classmate and threw a snowball at her. The court imposed a fine of 850 hryvnias on his mother for failing to fulfill her parental responsibilities.
This incident took place during a school break on November 25, 2025, at the Horodotsky Educational Complex No. 2. The boy, son of Kristina Khlopitska, committed these actions against a 14-year-old girl.
The boy's mother did not appear at the court hearing and did not explain the reason for her absence.
The Horodotsky District Court found Kristina Khlopitska guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which pertains to the failure to fulfill parental responsibilities. The court ordered her to pay a fine of 850 UAH and a court fee of 665 UAH.
The ruling comes into effect 15 days after the appeal period expires. In case of non-payment of the fine, its amount may be collected forcibly and doubled.
This case draws attention to the issue of parental responsibility for their children's behavior. Legislation clearly defines parental duties, and similar incidents can serve as examples for other families to emphasize the importance of upbringing and supervision of their children.
