According to ТСН: A dangerous situation occurred in Transcarpathia when a family of eight nearly died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Incident in the village of Oleshnik

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in the village of Oleshnik in the Berehiv district, around four in the morning, the father of the family woke up to a loud noise. Upon leaving the room, he found his wife unconscious on the floor. The man quickly reacted, brought his wife to her senses, and began opening all the windows and doors to ventilate the premises.

Condition of the children and medical response

The couple's six children, aged between 11 and 24, also felt unwell. The father urgently took the whole family to the hospital.

Doctors confirmed carbon monoxide poisoning.

“To avoid similar incidents, regularly check the efficiency of heating appliances and chimneys. At the first signs of ailment (weakness, headache, dizziness), immediately ventilate the home and call emergency services,” the State Emergency Service emphasizes.

This incident once again highlights the importance of adhering to safety measures in the use of heating systems. Families should be especially vigilant during the cold season when the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning increases.

It is also worth mentioning that a recent explosion in Kyiv led to a fire, once again emphasizing the necessity of following safety rules.
