Pension after 65: who will automatically receive an increase from the Pension Fund.
Guarantees for retirees
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, citizens are guaranteed the right to receive a minimum pension, which cannot be less than 40% of the minimum wage and the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work. If a retiree receives less, they can count on additional payments that will help reach the necessary level.
This was reported by the Pension Fund.
Pension recalculation
Automatic pension recalculation after reaching 65 years is not applicable to all retirees. The main condition for increasing payments is the availability of sufficient insurance experience.
According to the requirements, men must have at least 35 years of experience, and women – 30 years. Those who meet these criteria can count on automatic recalculation after 65 years.
The key factor for increasing the pension after 65 years is insurance experience. Individuals who do not meet the minimum requirements must submit additional documents or wait for an individual review at the Pension Fund.
Individual calculation for retirees
Retirees with less experience can also receive an increase in payments, but they do not have automatic recalculation. Decisions in such cases are made individually, depending on the available data in the registers and confirmed work periods.
We would like to note that with the increase in the subsistence minimum for incapacitated individuals from January 1, 2026, the minimum pension in Ukraine will also increase, which depends on this indicator.
Thus, the minimum pension for 2026 will increase by 234 hryvnias – to 2595 UAH.
These changes in pension provision aim to improve the living standards of retirees. It is important that all who have the right to increase their pension know their options and be prepared for action if their payments do not meet the established standards. In particular, retirees should check their insurance experience and, if necessary, contact the Pension Fund for consultations and necessary documents.
