New salary supplements in 2026: who will receive the increase.
New salary supplements in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: New salary supplements for medical workers, educators, social workers, defense sector specialists, and critical infrastructure professionals are being introduced in Ukraine in 2026. This increase is due to the need to support specialists working under increased workload and to improve working conditions in key areas.
Who will receive increased payments
Increased payments will be received by medical workers, particularly doctors dealing with a large volume of work. Supplements have also been introduced for educators working in schools with a large number of students, which will help stimulate the educational process in educational institutions. Social workers and defense sector specialists will also receive bonuses, reflecting the recognition of their important role in society.
Funding for the increases is included in the state budget for 2026. This year, the minimum wage will increase by 5% from 8000 UAH to 8647 UAH, which will also positively affect the overall income level of the population. The government's resolution on increasing salaries for specialists in social and rehabilitation services has been approved from January 1. There are approximately 80 thousand specialists in this field in Ukraine, highlighting the importance of social support.
Teachers' salaries will increase by 50% in 2023, with the increase occurring in two stages: in January and September. It is expected that the average salary of teachers will reach around 30 thousand UAH, which will be a significant step in improving their financial situation. Thus, the new supplements in 2026 will be an important step in supporting key professions in Ukraine.
The introduction of new salary supplements in key areas such as medicine, education, and social services indicates the growing attention of the state to ensuring support for specialists working in difficult conditions.
This increase can positively affect the quality of service provision and encourage professionals to remain in their fields, which is crucial for the socio-economic development of the country. It is expected that such initiatives will also promote increased motivation among employees and improve their well-being.
