Military personnel with disabilities are guaranteed a pension starting from 9,478 hryvnias: conditions for entitlement.
According to ТСН: Military personnel who have been discharged have the opportunity to receive an invalidity pension. If the injury or illness occurred during the performance of duties, the minimum payout will be 9,478 hryvnias.

Individuals who have been discharged from the military unit can apply for an invalidity pension if they received the status of disabled during service or within three months after discharge. The right to a pension remains valid even if the disability occurred later but is a consequence of injuries or concussions received during service or defending Ukraine.
It should be noted that the pension is granted only after discharge.
Categories of military by disability status
persons with disabilities due to war (injuries, concussions, disabilities, or illnesses received during the performance of official duties)
other military personnel with disabilities (disability received due to an accident not related to service or illness)
Procedure for processing payments
To receive a pension, an application must be submitted to the territorial body of the Pension Fund through the relevant structural divisions of the Ministry of Defense. Mobilized individuals from other ministries or agencies should contact their respective units.
Amount of invalidity pension
The amount of the invalidity pension received due to war depends on the category of disability:
for Group I — 100%
for Group II — 80%
for Group III — 60%
For other military personnel with disabilities, according to earnings, pensions are as follows:
for Group I — 70%
for Group II — 60%
for Group III — 40%
The minimum pension for individuals with disabilities due to war will be no less than:
16,847 hryvnias for Group I
13,822 hryvnias for Group II
9,478 hryvnias for Group III
We also remind you that with the increase in the minimum living wage for the disabled, planned for January 1, 2026, the minimum pension in Ukraine will also rise, depending on this indicator.
Thus, in 2026, the minimum pension will increase by 234 hryvnias to 2,595 hryvnias.
These changes in military pension provision are important steps to support those who have given their strength and health in service to Ukraine. Despite challenges, the pension system strives to adapt to the needs of military personnel and ensure their basic needs in difficult times.
