A series of powerful explosions occurred in Odessa - reported by the OVA

On January 31, several powerful explosions occurred in Odessa, reported the head of the OVA, Oleg Kiper. The message mentions repeated explosions and a call not to leave shelters.

Preliminary reports indicated that the Air Forces warned of a threat of ballistic weapon use from the south, in areas where an air raid alert had been declared. There was also a warning about a fast-moving target approaching Odessa in the waters of the Black Sea.

Earlier, the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, reported on a reconnaissance drone heading towards the city.

The first photos and videos of the consequences of the Russian attack, likely targeting the city center, appeared on local public pages.

Eyewitnesses reported that a well-known hotel in the city center and neighboring shops were damaged.

It is worth noting that Russian troops struck a drone in the Krasnopil community in Sumy region, resulting in injuries to two people.

There was also information about a night kamikaze drone attack in Kyiv, but later this information was not confirmed.

State of War in Ukraine

Currently, the full-scale war is in its 1073rd day. The enemy has carried out 44 airstrikes, launching 88 KAB. A total of 1007 kamikaze drones have been used, and more than 4600 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and settlements have been carried out.

In the past 24 hours, there have been 125 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders continue to decisively repel the enemy's attempts to advance deeper into the territory, delivering effective strikes and exhausting them along the entire front line.
