Kyiv Metro increases interval: trains will wait up to 12 minutes

According to ТСН: In Kyiv, train movement in the metro will slow down - the waiting time will be 10-12 minutes on all three lines.

This is due to the complicated situation in the energy sector caused by Russian shelling. It is known that:

"Due to the complex energy situation in the city caused by hostile Russian shelling, the number of trains on the lines has been forced to reduce in the Kyiv Metro. Currently, the waiting time for a train on all three lines will be 10-12 minutes."

Restoration of the energy situation

Passengers will be notified in advance about the restoration of the schedule, which provides for intervals of 5-6 minutes.

We remind that on January 9, in Kyiv, due to massive shelling, there were problems with electricity supply, heating, and water supply. 417 thousand families were left without electricity. The mayor of the city, Vitalii Klitschko, mentioned that many houses were left without heating and urged residents, if possible, to leave the city.

During the last day, it has been possible to restore heat supply in half of the houses that were without heating in Kyiv.

The head of the Kyiv City Administration, Timur Tkachенко, reported that a problem arose in one of the links of the energy system, which led to emergency power outages. Currently, the problem has been eliminated, which will partially reduce emergency outages.

"This will allow partially alleviating emergency outages."

DTEK reported that in the right bank of Kyiv, particularly in the Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts, electricity supply has been restored without emergency outages. The Kyiv region is also returning to the blackout schedules, except for the Boryspil and Brovary districts.

The city administration added that due to the unstable energy system, electric transport has been temporarily stopped on both banks. Kyivpastrans is also providing duplicate bus routes, including bus No. 3-T operating instead of the Borshchahivskyi high-speed tram - from Starovokzalna Street to the Ring Road.

The energy resources situation in Kyiv remains complicated; however, thanks to the efforts of the city authorities, electricity and heating supply is gradually improving. Passengers are advised to plan their trips considering the new metro schedules and changes in transport routes.
