The situation with heating and electricity supply in Kyiv

According to ТСН: As a result of a powerful attack on Kyiv last night, there was a large power outage and problems with heating. As of the morning, the heating supply system began to be activated in the capital, but the electricity situation remains challenging.

As reported by the head of the Cabinet, Yulia Svyrydenko, the heating supply system has been activated. The heat-generating facilities are already supplying heat to residential buildings, and the phased launch of heating directly to homes is ongoing.

“We expect full heat supply today”

At the same time, the electricity supply remains problematic. The right bank of Kyiv has already been switched to scheduled outages, while the left bank is still experiencing emergency shutdowns.

“The energy networks are severely damaged, and due to low temperatures, people are using electric heaters more actively. We are doing everything possible to increase the supply of electricity as quickly as possible”

Svyrydenko also noted that by the end of the day, a transition to stable electricity supply schedules is planned in the capital.

It was reported earlier today about a complete halt in the operation of heating, water supply, and electric transport systems. Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that due to the overload of the energy system, emergency electricity shutdowns had been implemented, resulting in the temporary suspension of the water supply, heating supply, and electric transport systems.

The situation in Kyiv remains tense, as the restoration of energy systems requires time and effort. The residents of the capital hope for stable electricity and heating supply in the coming days. The authorities continue to work on eliminating the consequences of the attack and ensuring comfortable conditions for Kyiv residents during the winter period.
