New power outages introduced in Ukraine: reasons and schedules.
According to ТСН: On Friday, January 2, restrictions on electricity consumption will be introduced in Ukraine.
Ukrenergo reported that "power limitation schedules (for industrial consumers) will be applied in all regions of Ukraine, and in most areas, hourly disconnection schedules will also be in effect."
The main reason for returning to strict restrictions is said to be the critical consequences of the recent attacks by Russia, which were carried out using missiles and drones on the energy infrastructure.
Situation in the energy system
Energy workers note that the situation in the energy system is dynamic and may change depending on the load level. Residents are advised to check the exact time and duration of disconnections on the official websites and pages of the power supply companies in their regions.
DTEK has also announced hourly power outage schedules for Thursday, January 1, for the capital and all regions of Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that in the absence of new shelling, the situation with electricity supply during the New Year holidays could be relatively stable. However, in the event of repeated massive attacks by the RF, "guaranteeing light throughout New Year's Eve is unfortunately impossible." This is a consequence of recent shelling.
In the conditions of military actions, Ukraine continues to need efforts to ensure stability in the energy sector. Restrictions on electricity consumption are a necessary step to support the energy system under current conditions. Citizens must be prepared for possible outages and follow the recommendations of local energy companies.
