Simplified Extension of Deadlines for Relatives of the Missing: How to Apply via 'Diia'.
According to ТСН: The procedure for applying for an extension of deadlines for the relatives of persons who went missing during the war with Russia has become significantly easier. Now it can be applied for or extended either through the administrative services centers (CnAP) or via the 'Diia' portal.
This information was provided by the coordinator of the groups of relatives of prisoners and the missing, Olena Belyachkova, in an interview with 'Glavkom'.
Key Changes in the Application Process
Olena Belyachkova emphasized that the law 'On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization' allows for the application for an extension of deadlines for military personnel whose close relatives - spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, or sister - went missing as a result of the armed aggression of Russia.
The main basis for applying for the extension is now an excerpt from the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances.
Previously, due to an incorrect wording in the Cabinet regulation, a court decision to establish the missing person's status under special circumstances was required from the relatives. This issue has now been resolved: the list of documents in the regulation has been adjusted to the law, and the excerpt from the register is sufficient for applying for an extension.
However, Belyachkova pointed out that the extension is not automatically granted - it must be applied for according to the established procedures.
Changes in Mobilization Legislation
It should also be noted that the Parliament is preparing changes to the mobilization rules that could abolish the extension for men over 25 years if they decide to pursue higher, further or vocational education.
The successful implementation of these changes should ease the lives of many families experiencing the disappearance of their loved ones in difficult times. The simplification of the procedure for applying for the extension will create better conditions for those who have previously faced bureaucratic difficulties. It is expected that the changes in mobilization legislation will impact the responsibilities and opportunities of young men who are seeking education during the war.
