Zelenskyy Announces Potential US-Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks for March 5-6.
Potential Three-Way Summit with US and Russia
According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has indicated that a three-way meeting involving the United States and Russia could be held on March 5 or 6. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera, he stated that neither side has canceled the next round of peace negotiations. Zelenskyy noted that the talks could take place between March 5 and 9, with Turkey and Switzerland being considered as potential alternative locations for the summit.
Prisoner Exchange as a Key Priority
The President emphasized the critical importance of prisoner exchanges, stating:
“One of the priority issues is the exchange of prisoners” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He expressed hope for more such exchanges in the future. Zelenskyy also clarified that “no one has postponed the next trilateral meeting with the Americans,” signaling a continued push for diplomatic engagement to resolve the conflict. These talks represent a significant diplomatic channel amidst ongoing hostilities.
Consequently, the planned trilateral meeting could mark a pivotal step in the peace negotiations with Russia and the United States, potentially creating new avenues for conflict resolution and prisoner swaps. This underscores Ukraine's efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region and highlights the crucial role of international support in this process.
