Attack on the Energy System: Where Light Has Already Been Restored While Kyiv Still Lacks Heating.
According to ТСН: The government is concentrating all efforts on managing the effects of the recent enemy attack on the energy infrastructure. The strongest blow was dealt to Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Kryvyi Rih. Although the situation in the regions was relatively stabilized quickly, the capital is still recovering from the attack.
This was reported by Ukraine's Prime Minister, Julia Svyrydenko.
Where Light and Heat are Already Available
According to the Prime Minister, thanks to the coordinated work of services, electricity and heating supply in Kryvyi Rih and places in the Kyiv region have been completely restored.
Kyiv: The Struggle for Heat
In the capital, the situation remains the most challenging.
Right Bank: Most consumers already have electricity, and there are schedules for electricity supply. Emergency shutdowns occur selectively, where repairs are taking place.
Left Bank: There are still emergency shutdowns, but the work is already nearing completion.
“By the end of today, the transition to scheduled plans is expected,” Svyrydenko said.
The most urgent problem remains heating supply. A significant part of Kyiv still lacks heat. Services are working around the clock, but the government is relying on active measures from local authorities and owners of damaged heating plants.
Maximum Provision of 'Stability Points'
In light of the cold and the number of consumers without electricity, Julia Svyrydenko issued an urgent order to the relevant services.
“I have ordered all involved services to ensure continuous operation of the Stability Points and to provide additional maximum supply. This task concerns not only the capital but also other places in the country,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
To support Ukrainians, resources from large state enterprises and banks will also be involved.
I remind you that experts had previously warned that if heating supply is not restored soon, buildings in Kyiv will begin to freeze. Old 'Khrushchyovs' could turn into 'refrigerators' within a day.
It is important to emphasize that the restoration of energy infrastructure is critically important to maintain life in the cities, including the capital. People in Kyiv and other affected regions are hoping for a quick resolution of heating issues as temperatures are rapidly dropping. Therefore, it is crucial that every citizen is informed about the situation while the government takes measures for restoration.
