YASNO published a stable electricity schedule: how to find guaranteed hours without outages

According to ТСН: For Ukrainians using electricity supplied by YASNO, it is important to know the schedule of possible power outages for the week, as it remains stable. The white zones on the chart should always have electricity unless emergency outages occur.

Tips from YASNO's CEO

CEO of YASNO Serhiy Kovalenko noted that on December 12, electricity will not be available for 17 hours. He emphasized that in case of a shortage of electricity, it may seem like there is none at all.

«To plan somewhat, I rely on the white zones in the charts — this is the time when electricity is guaranteed to be available if there are no emergency outages,» wrote YASNO's CEO.

Kovalenko added that the schedules may change several times a day at the direction of 'Ukrenergo'. Actual outage schedules become known only in the evening before the next day. He acknowledged that this creates certain inconveniences, but this is the reality.

«If you need to plan something in advance — rely on the schedule of probable outages for the week, it remains unchanged. The white zones there are stable and should always have power if there are no emergencies,» Kovalenko advised.

How to use the schedule

Step-by-step instructions:

  • go to the YASNO website or app — there you will find your schedule;

  • scroll down and expand the 'probable outages' tab;

  • rely on the white zones for the week when electricity is guaranteed to be available.

Reasons for fewer outages in Western Ukraine

Representatives of DTEK explained why there are fewer power outages in Western Ukraine. It turns out that the most damage to the electricity grid is observed in the east and center of the country, where a significant part of the capacity has been lost. The majority of electricity is currently generated in the west, mainly by nuclear power plants. However, delivering electricity from the west to regions with a deficit is a challenging task due to ongoing attacks by Russia on large substations and main lines that ensure power flow.

Understanding the outage schedule during this difficult time is important for every consumer. Given that the situation can change daily, a serious approach to planning electricity usage will help avoid inconveniences. Also, improvements in the situation in Western Ukraine indicate a gradual restoration capability of the electricity grid after numerous attacks on infrastructure.
