Weather Shifts Expected Across Ukraine This April

According to TSN.ua: Ukraine’s weather is set to take a dramatic turn this month. After a warm start with temperatures reaching 19°C in early April, a sharp cold snap is forecasted for the northern regions on April 7–8, where overnight lows could plunge to -3°C.

On April 3, temperatures across the country range from +12°C to +19°C. Western areas are experiencing slightly cooler conditions, between +8°C and +11°C. In Kyiv, the mercury will hover around +14°C to +16°C, though rain is possible. The Cherkasy region has recorded an average daily temperature of +10°C.

Forecasted Cooling and Its Implications

However, by April 7–8, a cold air mass is expected to sweep in, causing a significant drop in temperatures. Daytime highs will fall to between +4°C and +9°C. Starting April 9, the Left Bank region will experience a sharp chill, with nighttime temperatures potentially hitting -3°C. Strong northerly winds, with gusts reaching 15–20 m/s, are also anticipated.

Meteorologists are highlighting the volatile nature of the upcoming weather patterns. Meanwhile, Natalka Didenko noted that 'Palm Sunday should bring excellent weather.'
