An Italian in a traditional shirt was detained at the border of Ukraine for supporting Putin.
According to ТСН: The story that took place on a bus between Italy and Ukraine caused a great resonance on the internet. A man from Italy, dressed in a traditional shirt gifted by his Ukrainian lover, openly expressed support for Putin and belittled Ukraine. However, nearby was a Ukrainian blogger who decided not to let this go unanswered.
All the details became known thanks to a post by blogger Daria Melnychenko on the social network Threads.
Traditional Shirt and Support for the Dictator
The incident occurred during a bus stop. As Daria recounted, near the bus, a couple — a Ukrainian woman and an Italian named Rocco — stepped outside. At first, he left a good impression and approached the blogger to chat.
However, the dialogue quickly took an unpleasant turn. Upon learning that the girl was from Ukraine, Rocco began to express opinions about how "sh**ty our country is" and how "sh**ty the president is." "And that he respects Putin, and what a great guy he is," -
quotes the words of the foreigner the author of the post.
The cynicism of the situation caused the most outrage: the man was going home to his partner in Bila Tserkva, dressed in Ukrainian national clothing, but at the same time supported an aggressor who kills Ukrainians every day. His companion, according to witnesses, also supported the man's views.
"Warm Meeting" at the Border
Daria decided not to remain silent and stated that such people do not have the right to cross the Ukrainian border during the war. She warned that she would inform the relevant services about the Putin fan.
The story quickly spread on social media: in less than a day, about 20,000 people followed Daria's page. When the bus arrived at the checkpoint "Chop - Zahon", the Italian was already awaited.
"I talked to the shift supervisor. They already knew about the situation and were waiting. I took photos of my documents and the Italian. The couple was taken for questioning, and I wrote a statement," -
Daria Melnychenko reported.
What the State Border Guard Service Says
Journalist Vitaliy Hlahola contacted the secretary of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko for a comment, who confirmed the information about this incident.
Colonel Demchenko noted that the border guards were informed about the situation that became public on social media.
"Upon arrival of this person at the checkpoint, all legally prescribed border control measures are being implemented regarding him. Decisions will be made exclusively in the legal field," -
he emphasized.
According to sources, the Security Service of Ukraine was also informed about the situation.
Later, the journalist reported that Rocco received a refusal of entry card and a ban on staying in Ukraine for several years.
What Ukrainians Say about the "Putin Supporter"
The situation quickly turned into a source of memes and heated discussions.
What is Known about Pro-Russian Rocco
The journalist continued his investigation and found the Italian's social media page.
"I found Italian Rocco's TikTok, where boys and girls from the State Border Guard Service are currently processing his ban on entry into Ukraine at the Tysa checkpoint in Chop," -
Hlahola writes.
The last post of the man was - "a photo from the bus and joy that he is going to Russia through Ukraine".
Let us recall that at the Ukrainian-Polish border at the checkpoint "Yahodyn," border guards exposed an attempt to illegally cross the border. During the inspection of the truck, law enforcement officers found a specially equipped hiding place where a 24-year-old man was hiding. The truck driver, who agreed for money to smuggle the passenger to Poland, was detained and charged, while the violator was brought to administrative responsibility.
