Passenger Dies on British Airways Flight, But Plane Continued to London Without Turning Back.
Death on Board Forces Tough Decisions for Airline Crew
According to TSN.ua: A woman in her 60s passed away on a British Airways flight traveling from Hong Kong to London. Despite the medical emergency, the aircraft did not divert or abort its journey, continuing instead to Heathrow Airport as originally scheduled.
After the passenger died, crew members wrapped the body and moved it to the galley area. This decision led to complaints from fellow travelers, who reported an unpleasant odor in the cabin. Upon landing at Heathrow, more than 300 passengers were kept on the plane for roughly 45 minutes before being allowed to disembark.
British Airways confirmed the death, stating they 'acted in line with standard procedures.'
