According to ТСН: On New Year's Eve, during the curfew, patrol police stopped a Mercedes-Benz car that caught their attention on the bypass road of Rivne. The law enforcement officers decided to check the vehicle.

Biloshytskyi stated that the driver was dressed in a Santa Claus costume. During communication with the patrol officers, the man exhibited signs of intoxication. The breathalyzer showed 2.25 promiles of alcohol. As a result, administrative materials were prepared against the driver, and the vehicle was towed to the impound lot.

Statistical Violations on New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, 135 protocols were drawn up on Ukrainian roads under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses — for driving vehicles while intoxicated.

High-profile Murder in the Myrhorod District

The police also commented on the high-profile murder in the Myrhorod district of Poltava region, where, according to local residents, a son murdered his father.

Previously, residents of the region reported that in Velyki Budyshcha a son killed his father, and his partner died under unclear circumstances. It is known that the son had previously served time in prison for murder.
