Pensions in Ukraine will increase from 2026: who will receive more.
According to ТСН: Starting from the beginning of 2026, pension payments in Ukraine will be automatically reviewed. This means that some Ukrainians will receive more funds.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported that the increase in payments is related to the growth of the minimum living wage for persons who have lost their ability to work. Many pensions and allowances are tied to this indicator, so the largest changes will be felt by those pensioners whose payments are calculated as a percentage.
Features of pension payments
Restrictions on pensions will not apply only to those who participated in hostilities or were participants in the defense of the country from the aggression of the Russian Federation since 2014.
Legislatively, the maximum pension in Ukraine is limited and cannot exceed 10 minimum living wages for non-working individuals. In 2026, this indicator will amount to 2,595 hryvnias, which forms a maximum pension of almost 26 thousand hryvnias per month.
Increase in minimum pensions
Given the increase in the minimum living wage for non-working individuals, the minimum pension in Ukraine will also increase from January 1, 2026, tied to this indicator.
Thus, the minimum pension in 2026 will increase by 234 hryvnias — to 2,595 UAH.
This increase in pension payments will be an important step in supporting pensioners in the context of rising prices and inflation. Pensioners who receive payments tied to the minimum living wage will feel an improvement in their material situation, which is important in the current economic conditions.
