Massive Drone Assault on Ukraine: March 24 Attack

According to TSN.ua: On March 24, 2026, Russia launched a large-scale aerial assault on Ukraine, with more than 400 combat drones detected crossing into the country. The offensive began from northern and southern directions, striking broad areas including the Poltava, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia regions, as well as western parts of Ukraine.

According to reports, 392 drone flights were recorded starting from 6:00 PM on March 23. The situation escalated on the afternoon of March 24, when the drone count surpassed 400. In Lviv, the attack damaged a residential building, highlighting serious consequences for civilian infrastructure. In Ivano-Frankivsk, air defense units were actively engaged, underscoring the high threat level for residents.

Explosions were also heard in Vinnytsia, where a column of black smoke rose as a result of the strike. Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesperson for the military administration, stated:

“The enemy has launched another wave of aerial terror.” - Yuriy Ihnat

He further emphasized that this assault ranks among the largest in a single day, reflecting the intensity of aggression from the opposing side.

The situation remains tense, and Ukrainian security forces continue to take measures to protect the population and the country’s territory.

This attack is part of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014. The increasing use of drones signals a shift in warfare tactics, posing serious risks to civilians and infrastructure.
