According to ТСН: The rescue operation at the site of the destruction of a residential building in the center of Kharkiv has been ongoing for four days. Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on the residential sector during the day, destroying houses and taking the lives of peaceful residents.

Terrible discoveries under the rubble

During the last weekend, rescuers discovered the remains of four more bodies under the rubble. Earlier in this area, the bodies of a 22-year-old woman and her three-year-old son were found. Currently, the deaths of six people have been confirmed.

As a result of the strong shockwave, the bodies suffered significant damage, so the final identification of some parts is ongoing.

The scale of destruction and the progress of work

The explosion of the Russian missile occurred in a densely populated area, damaging a hospital and more than 30 houses. One of the entrances of a four-story residential building, as well as a neighboring commercial-office building, has been completely destroyed.

  • Over 6,390 tons of concrete and metal structures have already been removed from the site of the strike.

  • Rescue units of the State Emergency Service, canine teams, and communal services have been working around the clock at the site of the rubble. Heavy engineering equipment has been engaged in dismantling the structures.

The fate of the missing and the condition of the injured

The search operation continues as the fate of at least one person remains unknown. Earlier, information was reported about seven people who had lost contact after the strike.

Regarding the injured:

  • On that day, more than 30 people were injured.

  • As of today, seven injured remain in the city's medical institutions. Doctors assess their condition as stable, and there is currently no threat to life.

Rescue operations in the center of Kharkiv continue until the dismantling of the rubble is completed and the fate of everyone who might have been in the building is determined.

This tragedy once again highlights the realities of war that peaceful residents face. The work of the rescuers is marked against a backdrop of great loss, but each found body adds understanding of the scale of the tragedy. The condition of the injured remains under medical control, but the epicenter of grief continues to worry families waiting for news about their loved ones.
