Tragedy Strikes at Kyiv Energy Site
According to TSN.ua: A Ukrainian rescue worker, Oleksandr Pytaichuk, has died after falling 20 meters while on duty at an energy facility in Kyiv. The 31-year-old high-altitude rescuer fell from a significant height during the performance of his official duties.
This incident occurred against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where emergency personnel operate under constant threat. In a separate attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian Federation shelling killed another rescuer and injured a colleague. A civilian woman also died in that assault, and two fire-rescue vehicles were damaged. Residential buildings and shops sustained destruction.
Official Condolences
Ihor Klymenko, Head of Ukraine's State Emergency Service, expressed sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Oleksandr Pytaichuk. He noted that rescuers are consistently deployed to the most dangerous locations, stating:
“We will never forget the price our rescuers pay for the lives of others. Eternal memory to Oleksandr.”
