Vilniansk Comes Under Attack

According to TSN.ua: Russian forces struck the city of Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region overnight on January 26. The assault triggered a fire and caused damage to several multi-story residential buildings. The scale of the destruction is evident from shattered windows and scarred building facades throughout Vilniansk.

Zaporizhzhia Also Hit by Shelling

Separate attacks targeted the city of Zaporizhzhia, where Russian troops launched four strikes. These bombardments wounded two civilians: a 38-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man. Prior to the explosions, Ukraine's Air Force had reported the movement of hostile attack drones toward Zaporizhzhia. Ivan Fedorov confirmed that the Zaporizhzhia district sustained the impact of the strikes. These attacks are part of Russia's ongoing campaign of long-range strikes against Ukrainian population centers, which has intensified during the winter months.

These incidents are part of the protracted conflict between Russia and Ukraine, now in its second year. Such shelling underscores the severe and persistent threat to civilians in frontline regions. Authorities continue to implement measures to protect citizens and restore critical infrastructure, a constant challenge given the widespread destruction resulting from military actions.
