Eurovision national selection participant accused of unfair voting: what is happening.

According to ТСН: A participant of the national selection for the international song contest 'Eurovision-2026' Oks expressed his dissatisfaction with the fairness of the voting for the tenth finalist.

Dissatisfaction with the voting results

The National selection will take place very soon, but currently, only nine finalists are known. The last participant will be chosen by Ukrainians through voting in the 'Diia' app. According to preliminary data, singer Khayat has the best chances of reaching the finals.

However, Oks, who is also hoping to become the tenth finalist, believes that the voting results leave much to be desired. He states that voting should be focused on evaluating the song, rather than supporting 'fan bases' or 'unresolved Gestalts'.

“Let’s choose the 10th national selection participant based on the song... I do not blame anyone and certainly cannot evaluate objectively, but 'Eurovision' is a song contest, not someone's ambitions, unresolved Gestalts, and so on. We should choose the song that embodies our experiences, every Ukrainian's feelings, not a character who has a fan base...,” the singer expressed indignation.

Context and other participants

Oks did not name specific names, but it is known that Khayat is not participating in the national selection for the first time - this is his fourth attempt. Last year, artist Mon Fia also aimed to participate in the contest.

Recall that recently, the titles of the songs of the finalists of the national selection for 'Eurovision-2026' were announced, and new changes to the rules of their listening were also introduced.
