Air Quality Deteriorates in Lviv Region Following Drone Strikes on Infrastructure.
Situation in Smilne and Brody
According to TSN.ua: Following a Russian drone strike on an infrastructure facility, air quality in the village of Smilne, located in the Zolochiv district of the Lviv region, has temporarily worsened. This attack led to elevated levels of carbon monoxide in the air. Authorities report the regional situation is under control and that radiation levels remain normal. These strikes on western Ukraine highlight the conflict's reach beyond the front lines, affecting civilian areas far from the eastern battlefields.
Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, has advised residents, especially those with chronic health conditions, to remain indoors until the situation normalizes. In the neighboring town of Brody, another strike on an infrastructure target caused a fire and heavy smoke. As a precaution, all school classes in Brody have been canceled.
Government Monitoring and Response
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and are implementing necessary measures to ensure public safety.
