According to TSN.ua: Two brothers from the Chernivtsi region have been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of an elderly couple. The crime occurred at night when the younger sibling, aged 18, and his 26-year-old brother entered the victims' home through an unlocked window.
The attackers used an axe to kill the victims, both over 80 years old. After the murder, they stole 13,000 hryvnias, a bank card, and a mobile phone belonging to the couple. Both brothers are now serving life sentences for their actions.

In a separate case, a 23-year-old man in the Poltava region is set to stand trial for the particularly brutal murder of a female acquaintance. Reports indicate the victim suffered 164 stab wounds. These incidents highlight the severity of the criminal situation in Ukraine and the extreme violence involved in such crimes.
