The singer Tamara Kalustyan has passed away: the legend of Ukrainian opera was 100 years old.
According to ТСН: The outstanding Ukrainian singer Tamara Kalustyan has departed to another world.
This was reported by the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in its post on the official Facebook page. The artist died at the age of 100, the exact cause of her death is currently unknown.
“Her voice has resonated on the leading stages of the world and in the hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. In her performances — Bach and Mahler, Lyatoshynsky and Sylvestrov: with depth, impeccable musical culture, and intellectual sophistication. Faithful to music and freedom, she left behind an example of dignity and true beauty. Eternal memory”
Tamara Kalustyan was born on October 1, 1925, in Kyiv. She received her education at the philological faculty of Kyiv University and then studied at the conservatory, where she mastered vocal techniques. The artist was a chamber singer (mezzo-soprano).
The memory of Tamara Kalustyan will remain in the hearts of many who valued her art.
