From 2026: 50,000 Hryvnias one-time per child - what has changed and what risks exist.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, important changes in the amount and conditions of payments for the birth of a child come into effect on January 1, 2026. Parents will now receive the entire amount in one payment, but experts warn of potential risks and the need for increased control over the use of these funds.
New figures: What has changed?
Previously, the assistance was 41,280 Hryvnias, which was paid over three years (10,320 Hryvnias immediately and 860 Hryvnias monthly). Now the conditions have changed:

Payment method: one-time (the entire amount is transferred to the account in a single payment).

Qualified electronic signature (KEP).
Bank account details for social payments in IBAN format.
2. Offline (PFA, ZNAP or Post)You can personally apply within 12 months from the date of the child's birth.
Document set:
Passport and identification number.
Child's birth certificate.
Registration certificate (if you have an ID card).
IBAN bank account details.
Pitfalls: Expert opinion
Despite positive changes, economists warn: The stability of these payments depends on the support of international partners. Economic expert Oleg Pendzin notes that the one-time payment of such an amount will require stricter control.
“If there is no money from foreign partners, it is unclear how the state will meet its promises. There are also questions about control. In my opinion, there should be technical means to block suspicious payments, for example, the transfer of these funds to other persons, so that they are actually used for the needs of the child,” Pendzin emphasizes.

Thus, the new rules will provide families with more financial support directly at the birth of a child, but one should be prepared for new requirements regarding control of these funds. The changes could significantly impact families' well-being, but they also require careful handling of the funds.
